COVID 19 Information

Prince Edward Island Marathon will continue to work with the Chief Public Health Office (CPHO) to ensure that all guidelines are followed during the planning process. 

The following services will not be offered during the 2022 PEI Marathon weekend:

  • Expo
  • Bag storage for participants
  • Awards ceremony
  • Participant massages

Pre-Race:

  • Indoor Kit Pick Up at the Delta will follow provincial guidelines – mask wearing is encouraged 

Start Area:

  • Participants and volunteers will be required to physical distance (6ft/2m) at race start
  • Masks will be encouraged

On Route:

  • Water stops will be available, however, they will be self serve with prefilled cups for participants to take. Participants are encouraged to bring their own hydration 

Finish Area:

  • Water as well prepackaged nutrition for all distances will be available at the finish line

Other things participants can expect to see:

  • Hand sanitizer stations – placed at high touch point areas such as portable washrooms, and kit pick up
  • Increased communication leading up to Marathon weekend with COVID-19 safety protocols and what participants need to know for kit pick up and race day
